What is of note here, that Schweizer still grinds all their own glass. Yeah, Schott white glass. The best there is. The reason we like glass, as opposed to acrylic, is that when you work with solvents and get a drop on the acrylic, you’re screwed, because the acrylic lenses are ruined. Of course we also purchase close-out acrylic magnifiers from them, and pass the savings on to you.
