NVA Flakfernrohr TZK c.1979

On Sale

Brutally heavy and virtually bulletproof, with an operating range from -40º to +50º C (-40 to 122 F). To foreshorten the size of the unit, they employ the most complex optical construction of any binocular ever made. The glass and coatings are without peer. Enormous wide angle viewing with a 7º overall field of view (123m/1000m). Features the eyepieces angled at 45º for ease of viewing, with elevation from -18º to +84º; optical filters and mountable desiccant cans; battery-pack to illuminate reticle; adjustable, padded, forehead-rest; removable objective lens sunshades; rotating turret with azimuth indication; massive tripod, and an interesting “Kommandeur’s” 8x observation glass, which mounts perpendicularly to the RH side of the unit, so two are able to look. This rare and magnificent scope comes in a heavy steel carry case, measuring 21” x 20” x 13”, and weighs 88.95 lbs…! In addition there’s a long wooden tripod, and battery box. These Flakfernrohrs have all been sold out since 2006, but I managed to talk a German friend and colleague of mine out of his stash, that are as complete and close to new as you can get. Fabulous price compared to market—and for a lot more scope… Whether on the shooting range, looking at the night skies, or scanning the horizon, you’ll be hard pressed to find anything close to this.

Subject to additional surface freight.
