The Traditional Prize Fighter’s Boxing Bell is a mechanically operated brass trip gong built to cut through the noise of a gym, factory, mine, school, engine room, or commercial building. It requires no electricity; a firm pull on the lever produces the signal.
This style of bell has been used in prize fighting, at the New York Stock Exchange, and as warning equipment where power failure cannot be allowed to silence an alarm. The gong and lever mechanism are brass, mounted to a black powder-coated steel base.
Made in the United States by the country’s oldest bell maker, it measures 8 inches in diameter by 9 x 8 inches and weighs 5.5 pounds. Mount it securely enough to withstand repeated pulls and the force of its ring.
