Flatbrook Folding Stove – Portable, Heavy-Duty Cooking for Any Adventure
The Flatbrook Folding Stove is a flat-packing solid-fuel stove designed to support the heavier cookware that overwhelms ultralight backpacking burners. It assembles in seconds without tools and provides a stable cooking frame for cast-iron skillets, Dutch ovens, and other substantial camp pots.
Heat-tolerant stainless steel forms the body, which can burn wood, coal, or pellets instead of proprietary gas canisters. Build the fire on an appropriate surface or use the included bottom plate where suitable. When the stove is cool, it folds down into the supplied heavy-duty storage bag, which has extra room for tinder or a compact fire-starting kit.
At 14 x 11 x 8 inches assembled and 5.5 pounds, this is equipment for rafting, overlanding, base camps, parks, and backyard cooking—not a featherweight through-hiking stove. Its reward for the extra weight is a broad, robust platform and freedom to use several common solid fuels where legal and available.
