The Böker Plus Thicker Clipper concentrates fixed-blade strength into a 6.18-inch work knife. Designed by Brent Michael Smith of Bald Man Knife & Tool, it uses a full-tang frame and a notably stout 0.22-inch D2 tanto blade for jobs that call for more structure than a light pocket folder.
The 2.14-inch blade has a black stonewashed finish that suits the knife’s hard-use character. Its tanto profile reinforces the tip for controlled utility tasks, while heavy spine jimping helps the thumb maintain purchase under pressure. Brown Micarta handle scales and solid bolsters give the compact grip a firm, balanced feel.
At 3.15 ounces, the Thicker Clipper fits a truck kit, shop drawer, tool bag, or camp pack without becoming a large field knife. A fitted Kydex sheath protects the edge and keeps the short blade organized between jobs. It is a small tool with deliberately substantial construction, not a miniature novelty.
