Anchor Knife | Ebony Handle With Brass Anchor Inlay
The Anchor Knife is a traditional sailor’s pocket knife built around the jobs knives were actually carried for: rope, cordage, canvas, boxes, dock work, and daily utility cutting. Compact, handsome, and properly useful, it gives you maritime history without turning into nautical decoration.
The pattern dates back to the 19th century, when anchor knives were associated with European knife-making centers such as Solingen and Thiers. This version keeps the old working formula intact: a dense ebony handle, an inlaid solid brass anchor, a sturdy steel bolster, and a controlled sheepsfoot blade shaped for practical cutting near rope and gear.
The blade is made from 1.4116 German stainless steel, a dependable, easy-care steel with good corrosion resistance and straightforward sharpening. A manual nail-nick opening, slipjoint mechanism, and lanyard hole make it simple, serviceable, and ready for pocket, boat bag, workbench, or collection case.
