Enamelware - Slate Gray
Only 2 in stock
Enamel, or vitreous enamel, is made by fusing powdered glass to a surface like metal, clay, or stone by firing it in a 2000 degree Fahrenheit oven. As the powdered glass heats up and melts, it binds to the iron surface in a coating-like fashion to create a smooth, non-porous, and non-stick finish. This enamelware dining set is the ultimate in form and function. It has a steel core base with a speckled enamel finish that has been hardened for superior durability. The raised stainless steel trim is hand-finished and baked to create a bronze-like patina finish. The color is reminiscent of a beautiful, earthy mix of blue-gray slate rock color that is hand-finished backed stainless steel trim bronze-like patina, giving each piece a handsome vintage design. Because each piece is hand-finished, slight variations in color on the rim can be expected. Each individual pieces are sold in a set of 2. We also sell them in a complete set for a slightly discounted price. Please do not use in the microwave, as these pieces are made from steel. Both the plate surface and rim can be stripped of its unique coloring by acidic foods, such as lemon, and some harsh detergents and cleansers. Enamelware is dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing to help maintain the original look and feel of the pieces.
